Manchester United and Tottenham difficult to separate

On Saturday lunchtime, two of the most high-profile teams in the Premier League clash, as Manchester United hosts Tottenham at Old Trafford.

This clash is one of a formidable home team against a superb away team. The Red Devils have made Old Trafford a fortress in the Premier League once again, as United are 21 home games unbeaten in the English top-flight.

Jose Mourinho’s side have also won their last five home games in the league while keeping clean sheets in all of their wins. The Red Devils have also been prolific in front of goal on home soil, scoring two or more goals in all five of those home victories.

The Red Devils have also suffered defeat just once in their last 11 Premier League outings. However, that one defeat was last time out in the Premier League, as they lost 2-1 at Huddersfield Town.

United have won their last three home meetings with Tottenham in all competitions while keeping clean sheets in all three victories. That record is sure to be tested by the visitors.

Tottenham meanwhile have won their last six games on their travels in the top-flight, scoring two or more goals in all of those six wins on the road. A big part of Spurs recent form in front of goal has been England international Harry Kane’s coolness in front of goal.

The 24-year-old has now scored six goals in his last four outings for the visitors in the English top-flight. He is currently leading scorer in the Premier League and it would take a brave man to bet against him finding the net in Manchester.

This game is too tight to call, as these two teams are well-matched and I think the game will end all square. Both teams have been prolific in recent weeks, but are well organised in defence, so it may be a low scoring encounter.
