Each week our both teams to score treble looks at three games from Mondays fixtures
Shrewsbury vs. Manchester United
The Red Devils will head to Greenhous Meadow a wounded animal following back to back 2-1 defeats to Sunderland and FC Midtjylland. The absence of Wayne Rooney up front means that United will be lacking firepower up front and that could suit the home side. So too could the absence of David De Gea. The Spanish keeper is doubt and he is if misses out, United’s defence will be weaker as a result. Shrewsbury have scored three of their last four games and scored three against Sheffield Wednesday in the last round.
Napoli vs. Milan
The Naples outfit have lost both their last two games 1-0, going down to Juventus, a result that saw them lose top spot, and Villarreal in the Europa league. Not since 2013 have they lost three competitive games on the trot and on that occasion they failed to score in the first two defeats before scoring in 3-1 Champions league loss to Borussia Dortmund. There has been just one goal scorer in each of the last three meetings despite an average of 3 goals a game, while of the last 7 both teams have scored four times.
Southend United vs. Burton Albion
The League One leaders have been in mixed form of late, losing two and winning three of their last five. They have however found the net in all five of those games. 7th place Southend have failed to score in their last two games but prior to that had scored in 3 successive games. Two of the last four meetings has seen both teams score.
