PSG set for win in Monaco

On Sunday night, the two biggest teams in French football clash at the Stade Louis ll, as champions Monaco host league leaders PSG.

Monaco were the team to watch in Ligue one last season. Despite losing a number of star players during the summer have started their Ligue campaign in decent form.

Leonardo Jardim’s side are currently second in the Ligue One standings, but a victory would move the team from the principality to within three points of the visitors.

The home side are unbeaten in four games in the league, but Amiens held them to a 1-1 draw last time out in Ligue One. The draw ended a three-game winning run in the French top-flight.

The French champions are formidable on home soil, having claimed 15 wins from their last 16 home games in Ligue One. They have also kept an impressive nine clean sheets while scoring at least twice in 15 of the victories.

PSG have made a fantastic start to their Ligue One campaign, winning 11 of their 13 league games so far and drawing twice. In fact, the Parisians are now unbeaten in 16 league games dating back to last season when they suffered defeat in Nice.

Unai Emery’s side’s recent away record is not too bad either, as they have won five of their last seven Ligue One games on their travels.

The team from the French capital have also scored two or more goals in seven of their last eight games on the road in Ligue One.

Another positive for the visitors is that they have won the last three meetings against Monaco in all competitions, with the team from the capital scoring at least twice in all three meetings.

This game should be a very entertaining one full of goals and most likely end in a victory for the home side.
