Red Devils to get the better of the Saints

Manchester United are enjoying a fantastic start to their Premier League campaign and on Saturday the Red Devils travel to the south coast to face Southampton.

The home side have not enjoyed a great start to life under Argentinian boss Mauricio Pochettino. The Saints have won just two of their five Premier League games this season and picked up eight points.

The team from the south coast have had a problem scoring goals at St Marys of late in the Premier League, having failing to find the back of the net in seven of their last eight league outings.

The Saints lack of potency in the league on home soil has seen the team from the south coast pick up just one win in their last eight home games.

To make matters worse Southampton have recorded just one win in their last five competitive meetings with the visitors. The Saints did record a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace in their last outing though, which should lift spirits at the club.

Manchester United are unbeaten in the Premier League so far this season, picking up four wins and a draw. Jose Mourinho’s side have scored two or more goals in all five of their Premier League games so far this season.

In their last top-flight outing, the Red Devils defeated Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford, with former Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku grabbing his fifth league goal of the season for Mourinho’s side.

Despite a good campaign so far this season, the Red Devils have won just one of their last six away games in the Premier League. However, Mourinho’s team are unbeaten in their last three top-flight games on their travels, picking up a win and two draws.

United have been free-scoring this season, but Southampton’s recent home games have been low scoring. Our tip is to back the United victory, but the game may be low scoring.
